John is a visionary artist rooted in the picturesque landscapes of Donegal. With a profound passion for the intersection between art, technology, and sound, John has spent the past 15 years dedicated to nurturing the minds of aspiring N.I. creatives in Derry as a Researcher, Lecturer and Course Director in the areas of Creative Technology/Audio and Music with a large focus of his own work being in crafting new and vintage inspired electronic musical instruments and digital A/V tools.

Rooted in the wild and inspiring surroundings of Donegal, John has found endless inspiration in the untamed beauty of the local countryside. This connection with environment greatly influences his artistic creations, seamlessly blending the organic with the electronic.

As an accomplished educator, John has mentored countless students both locally and internationally, igniting their creative sparks and encouraging them to explore the limitless possibilities of music, sound and technology.

John is renowned for his work in designing electronic musical instruments and tools both in terms of published research papers and commercially for Delta Sound Labs. His hardware creations are used by synthesists worldwide, pushing the boundaries of electronic music making.
